About us

East News is a photo agency established in 1990 in Warsaw, Poland and in 1996 in Moscow, Russia. In 2004 we opened our branch office in Kiev, Ukraine. East News is a distributor of many prestigiuos news and stock agencies. We work on assignments and produce features in Poland, Russia and former Russian republics, where we cooperate with many efficient photographers, well-oriented in a region specificity. East News employs 70 people.

East News is equiped with a high technology scanners and provides services of scanning the pictures at a very competitive price. We have a web site linked to serchable data base that is constantly updated and improved. It was initially dedicated to the local clients, however , according to accumulative increase of interest, English keywords are being set. East News archive contains pictures on the origin and glory days of Solidarity with its leader Lech Walesa, numerous pictures of Polish leaders: Josef Pilsudski, Wladyslaw Gomulka, Edward Gierek, Wojciech Jaruzelski, Alexander Kwasniewski. Besides we can offer unique materials about Karol Wojtyla's (pope John Paul II) childhood and youth, cardinal Stefan Wyszynski and many others.

East News also has aslo an impressive collection of Russian personalities like Tsar Nicholas II Romanov ( Romanoff) Family, Wladimir IIJitsch Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Vyacheslav Molotov, Lavrenty Beria, Felix DJerzinsky- founder of NKWD, KGB, FSB (Felix Edmundovitch Dzerzinski), Leonid Brezniev, Mikhail Gorbatchov (Mickhael Gorbatchov), Boris Yeltsin ( Jelcine ),and present Russian president Vladimir Putin. We can also offer a great set of soviet posters reproductions from the period from 1939-1960 and pictures on Russian space projects.
